Managing Direct Emissions: How to Enter Scope 1 Data in CimpactPro

Managing Direct Emissions: How to Enter Scope 1 Data in CimpactPro
Summarize this article with Artificial Intelligence

Scope 1 Management with CimpactPro

One of the most critical steps in carbon footprint calculations is to accurately process the emissions under the direct control of the company, i.e. Scope 1 data. CimpactPro simplifies this process for users and gathers it under Section 2. So, how is fuel consumption data transferred to this section and how does the process work?

Section 2: Center for Direct Emissions

Section 2 of CimpactPro is the area where all direct emissions (Scope 1) are managed. In order to simplify the user experience and avoid data confusion, this section is handled under two main sub-headings: "Stationary Combustion" and "Mobile Combustion".

1. In-Plant Consumption: Fixed Combustion

This area covers emissions from stationary sources within the boundaries of your facility.

  • What is Included? Furnaces and boilers used for production purposes or fuels consumed only for heating purposes are included in this group.
  • Which Fuels? Fossil fuels burned within the facility such as natural gas, coal, fuel-oil are processed here.
  • What should you do? The process is quite simple; it is enough to select the relevant fuel type from the menu and enter the consumption amount and unit on your invoice into the system.

2. Emissions in Motion: Mobile Combustion

This is the area where you manage the emissions created by your company's vehicles.

  • What is Included? Moving resources such as passenger cars, forklifts, transportation vehicles registered in the company inventory are evaluated in this category.
  • Which Fuels? Fuel data consumed by vehicles such as gasoline, diesel or LPG are entered here.

Automatic Calculation: Just Enter Data

The biggest advantage of CimpactPro is the intelligent calculation engine running in the background. As a user, you do not need to deal with complex formulas. You simply enter the fuel type and consumption and the system automatically matches this data with internationally recognized emission factors. The calculation process is completed in the background in seconds, without the need for user intervention.
