Where to Enter Fossil Fuel Data in CimpactPro? Step-by-Step Guide
How to Record Fossil Fuel Consumption?
Tracking the fossil fuels used within the facility boundaries is one of the most basic steps of carbon footprint calculation. So, how and on which screen of CimpactPro should you enter the consumption amounts of various fuels from natural gas to coal?
Right Address Section 2 and Fixed Combustion Tab
Section 2 is where you need to go in the CimpactPro interface to enter the type and consumption amount of fossil fuels used in your facility, such as natural gas, coal, fuel oil or LPG. The "Stationary Combustion" tab under this section is specifically designed for entering this data.
How Does the Process Work?
The process steps expected from the user in this area are quite simple and clear:
First, you must select the type of fuel you use from the menu in the system.
Then, you should enter the amount of consumption you see on your invoice or meter into the system along with the relevant unit (cubic meter, ton, liter, etc.).
The amount you enter at this stage is saved in the system as Activity Data (AD), which forms the basis of the calculation, and your carbon calculations are shaped based on this basic data.
