How will the CBAM process work?
The CBAM process will consist of the following steps:
- Importers will calculate the greenhouse gas emissions from the products they import.
- Importers will pay a carbon tax to the EU for the emissions they calculate.
- The EU will use the carbon taxes collected to support greenhouse gas reduction projects in the EU.
